Creative workshop Alexen was founded in 2004. Primary conceptual idea behind our work with children is based on interaction and creativity. Children communicate and play together through different venues of creative expression, (these include drawing, painting, singing, acting, dancing, competition in team play, board games and such). Interaction is practiced through parties of several kinds, and for varied occasions. Some examples are birthday, New Year’s, and Halloween parties, and parties with client requested themes.
We have created several plays, and musicals for children. These productions are sole authorship of Alexen, and include script writing, music composition, scenography, and costimography. The plays and musicals are widely used throughout the above mentioned parties. In addition, we have a great collection of over 200 different costumes for children and adults. All the activities take place in our workshop space which is equipped and decorated with children in mind.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Birthday parties (lasting 2 hours unless previously arranged for a longer time period) encompass children animation through a great number of different activities, as previously agreed upon:
- Children Costumes
- Face Painting
- Birthday bingo, little magicians, game show, ‘fast drawing game’, who wants to be a millionaire, memory, taboo, team oriented competition games, disco, karaoke, the play – fairy tale in which all the children participate.
- Small presents for all children.
- ‘Ceremony’ of the cake.
- Refreshments (soft drinks, sendwiches, fries, snacks, and sweets).
- Invitations.
- CD with over 100 photos from the party.
COSTUMES
Creative workshop Alexen is the owner of a collection of over 200 costumes for children and adults. In addition to individual costumes for masquerades, plays, and appearances, we also rent out sets of costumes for both boy, and girl (dance, performance, etc…) teams. The costumes are equipped with all the necessary accessories: shoes, boots, wigs, crowns, hats, swords, masks, magic wands, jewelry and such.
WORKSHOPS
Our workshops were created with children in mind: it is our vision and intent to provide a quality environment in which same age group children can play together in a space that nurtures and inspires creativity and imagination.
Main goal of workshops is the development of social and art skills by participation in an array of different modes of artistic expression. Workshops take shape similar to an after school activity; themes and content are chosen based on children’s affinity and age.
Some of Workshop activities include:
- Illustration Techniques – drawing and painting through individual and team effort.
- Creating and developing figurines and objects using different materials, (an accent is placed on recycled and ecologically friendly materials).
- Acting – participation in skits, musicals, and small theater plays, (adequate costimeography, and scenography, along with requisites are included); creating masked ball costumes, and fashion shows.
